Percussion virtuoso Pavel Giunter invites the audience to an impressive anniversary concert, together with the legendary percussion masters “Giunter Percussion”, bassoonist Andrius Puplauskis, trumpeter Algirdas Januševičius and the chamber ensemble “The New Baltic Sound Quartet”, which unites some of the most prominent music performers of the Baltic countries – violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė, cellist Gleb Pišniak, and percussionists Pavel Giunter and Guntars Freibergas. At the LSSO concert hall, listeners will be able to hear a program sparkling with different styles and colours, filled with stunning virtuoso passages and energetic music pulsating with life.

Pavelas Giunter, who is celebrating his anniversary, is one of the most famous Lithuanian percussionists, the head of the “Giunter Percussion” ensemble, a long-time artist of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, performing music of various genres – classical, contemporary, jazz and world-style compositions. The expressive, artistic and temperamental performer regularly participates in classical and contemporary music projects together with the Lithuanian State and Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestras, St. Christopher's Chamber Orchestra, various chamber ensembles and soloists. As a soloist, he participated in contemporary music festivals “Gaida”, New Music Festival in Riga, festivals in Lodz, Warsaw, Denmark (“ArtGenda”), Minsk, Helsinki, Berlin, Serbia (“Novy Sad”), London, etc. In 1995 he founded the ensemble “Vilnius Percussion” (now “Giunter Percussion”). P. Giunter has accumulated an impressive collection of percussion instruments. Many works written for percussion by Lithuanian authors are dedicated to him.
