The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra presents Laimis Vilkončius' new work, a children's musical Benedict and the Giraffe. Benedict, a schoolboy, meets someone who is very interesting to communicate with, a talking Giraffe. "What do you mean, a giraffe?" Benedict's Grandma is afraid that the boy has fallen ill. However, Benedict is just bored with his toys and enthusiastically engages in the new friendship. The Giraffe is truly extraordinary: she comes from Africa and behaves like a noble, but capricious lady. What a neck, what legs, what manners! Benedict's toys get curious about what is happening and the game begins. Apparently, the two friends can teach each other something.
The bright, intriguing and funny musical characters are played by the charismatic artists, Dominykas Vaitiekūnas (Benedict), Aistė Lasytė (Giraffe) and Gabrielia Kuodytė (Grandma) and singers of the Liepaitės Girls Choir (Toys). The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra led by Ričardas Šumila, who won a Golden Stage Cross for the Young Artist of the Year 2014, will render the exciting and colourful orchestral score.
