Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and performers of the “Amber” circus are inviting you to “Circus is Here!” – a celebration of circus and symphonic music. The circus acrobats, juggler, magician and clown will delight you with their stunts this afternoon, while the musicians of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Karolis Variakojis, will perform an entertaining symphonic music program.
The story of “Amber” circus began in 1970, when a folk circus was established in Alytus – it later raised quite a few professional circus artists. Having spent long years touring Europe, they turned into real masters of their craft. Thus, it is no wonder that in 2013 the circus invited them to come back and start a circus consisting of professionals – the latter was then called “Amber”. This traveling circus is now performing both in Lithuania and foreign countries, its members are also working and perfecting their skills in various famous European circuses.
This afternoon the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by talented young generation conductor Karolis Variakojis, who is also the leader of one of the most prominent contemporary music ensembles “Synaesthesis”.
