Musicians of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius) invite audiences to an exceptional chamber music concert, bringing together works by composers from different eras, original instrumental combinations, and a lively, authentic musical dialogue. This concert is not only an opportunity to get to know the orchestra’s artists more closely, but also to enjoy the sound of diverse and unexpected musical ensembles. Listeners will hear a rich and varied palette of works, in which each opus tells its own musical story, revealing the mastery of both the composers and the performers.

The program spans a wide range of musical eras. From the Baroque genius Georg Friedrich Händel (1685–1759), the Classical master Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827), and the Romantic composer Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904), to 20th-century modernists Carl Nielsen (1865–1931), Benjamin Britten (1913–1976), and the renowned creator of the nuevo tango, Ástor Piazzolla (1921–1992). The audience will also hear works by contemporary composers, including Enrique Crespo, Wolfgang Sonntag, and Remigijus Gumuliauskas. Timeless classical music, expressive musical passages, and fiery emotions meet here in one concert. Special attention is given to unconventional instrumental combinations – various ensembles will feature violins, violas, cellos, double basses, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpets, French horns, trombone, tuba, and percussion.

Chamber music invites listeners to a different kind of experience – one defined by a closer relationship between musician and audience, greater freedom and individuality, and vivid communication through music. This concert is a gift from the musicians of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra to the public, offering an immersion into the subtle and colorful world of chamber music.
