J. B. Weckerlin, V. Pier Luigi Niko. Opera for children "Puss in Boots"
Concept Author and Director: Prof. Vladimiras Prudnikovas
The children's opera "Puss in Boots" is a fun and educational two-act musical story for the whole family about cleverness, courage, and friendship, based on the fairy tale by Charles Perrault.
Puss in Boots is a wise, witty, and beloved fairy tale character. The story begins when a miller divides his inheritance among his three sons: the eldest receives the mill, the middle son gets the donkey, and the youngest is left with nothing but a cat. The youngest son is deeply saddened by this, but his fluffy friend quickly assures him that he is far more valuable than he might appear at first glance. How will their adventures unfold? What clever tricks and schemes will the cat devise? What gifts and surprises does he have in store for his master? We invite you to find out all this and more in this charming children's opera.
The opera "Puss in Boots" was initiated and directed by the prominent Lithuanian opera soloist and professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Vladimiras Prudnikovas. On the stage of the LVSO Concert Hall, the opera will be performed by young opera soloists and musicians of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marius Rinkevičius. This is a wonderful opportunity for young listeners to open the doors to the enchanting world of opera.
Recommended for children aged 5–12.
