Concert Programme
D. Brown. “Wild Symphony”
The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra presents a wonderful premiere for children and the whole family – a work for the little ones called “Wild Symphony” by the outstanding American writer Dan Brown (b. 1964), author of such bestsellers as “Angels and Demons”, “The Da Vinci Code” and “Inferno”.
Are you ready for an adventure? As you climb trees and cross seas with conductor Mouse and her musical band of friends, you'll meet a huge blue whale, swift cheetahs, miniature beetles and graceful swans. Each of them has a secret they'd like to share. “For each animal in my story, I've written an original piece of modern classical music – a short, fun composition that reflects the animal’s unique personality. And through using new technology, each animal’s music is accompanied by illustrations and text, creating a fully immersive experience of the story,” – says Brown.
"Wild Symphony" is an unforgettable experience for the whole family, where an intriguing story, symphonic music and visual art are magically intertwined. D. Brown’s musical adventure will come to life at the LSSO Concert Hall together with unique video projections and actress Gintarė Latvėnaitė reading verses from the beloved children’s book, which was published in Lithuanian in 2020. The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Egidijus Kaveckas.
We recommend the concert for children aged 5–12.
