The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius, presents a premiere at the 17th LVSO Summer Festival – its latest project inviting audiences to step into the golden age of pop music from the 1980s and 1990s. Together with soloists Ieva Prudnikovaitė, Jeronimas Milius, and the orchestra, well-known legendary hits will be performed in completely new arrangements.
This programme is a nostalgic journey to a period dominated by icons such as Elton John, Lionel Richie, Cher, “Modern Talking”, and others. The best songs of the 80s and 90s are brought to life in new colors, enriched with the full sound of the symphony orchestra and performed by Lithuania’s brightest soloists. Ieva Prudnikovaitė is beloved by audiences for her charisma, rich and expressive voice, and her ability to masterfully adapt to various musical styles – from classical opera to tango. Evelina Sašenko is an artist of exceptional sensitivity and elegance, whose velvety voice, impeccable musicality, and subtle emotional expression have captivated audiences both in chamber venues and symphonic halls. Jeronimas Milius, a rock singer, has long conquered concert halls and musical theaters with his powerful voice, strong emotion, and stage presence. Under the baton of Maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will fill the stage with energy and rich musical colors.
